John Pohl, Guitar

John has been playing guitar since he was a teenager but didn’t take it very seriously until he had an opportunity to play with a contemporary worship band. This allowed John to incorporate some of his influences from U2, Coldplay, and even Radiohead (and even a bit of his classic rock influences!). John enjoys the creativity and expression of improvisation which more recently led him to develop the vocabulary of jazz musicians (Hard Bop is his favorite!). In addition to WBC, John plays with the South Side Big Band and Minnetonka Jazz Band.
